Everything about your accommodation in the Netherlands

If you are looking for work in the Netherlands, there is a lot that you need to think about. If you come to work for AB Werkt, we want you to feel at home. We know that good accommodation is essential for this. You can look for accommodation yourself, or AB Werkt can arrange this for you. How do we do this and what can you expect? We will tell you about it in this article.

Where you will live

AB Werkt is active in the south of the Netherlands. We will arrange for you to live at a location that is as close to your work as possible. We will arrange transport for you if your work is not within walking distance.

We have several accommodation locations, including holiday parks (chalets) and flats or family homes. Where you will live depends on your place of work and other things. You will find all the basic amenities, such as a supermarket and a general practitioner (family doctor), nearby.

Who you will live with

You share your home with other people from Poland, Romania, Spain, Portugal, and other countries. You might work as colleagues for the same client, but you could also work for different clients. If you move to the Netherlands with your partner or friends, you will always be placed together (depending on the size of the group).

Fully furnished and fitted

AB Werkt’s accommodation is fully equipped and furnished. Each accommodation has all the necessary kitchen utensils as well as a washing machine and dryer. There is also often a central room where you can relax or play cards with other residents. If you need some privacy, you can always go to your own room. There is good Wi-Fi everywhere, so you can keep in touch with people at home. Our accommodation is non-smoking. Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are installed in each accommodation. It is important to us that the locations are kept clean and tidy. We perform regular checks for this.

SNF

All of our accommodation locations have an SNF certificate. This standard guarantees the quality of housing for international workers. AB Werkt’s accommodation is audited annually and is compliant with legislation and regulations regarding occupancy, space, daylight and heating, sanitation, hygiene, facilities, and general safety as well as fire safety. The costs

You pay a fixed amount per week for the accommodation provided by AB Werkt. This amount includes the costs for gas, water, and electricity. The housing costs are automatically deducted from your weekly salary and are clearly stated on your payslip. Everything has been made easy for you!
